Domestic abuse affects people across every workplace, profession and community.

Our training offer outlined below is delivered by domestic abuse specialists and is designed to be practical, accessible, empowering and useful, rather than a box to tick.

Training for organisations

We offer a phased training programme designed to work across every level of your organisation, from frontline staff to managers and senior leaders. Each phase builds on the last, creating a consistent, organisation-wide approach to recognising and responding to domestic abuse. To book or make an enquiry, email us at: training@oasisdaservice.org

2 hours | Self-led online videos | No prior knowledge required

An accessible introduction to domestic abuse for any member of staff, particularly those who don’t work directly with clients or service users. Phase One builds a foundational understanding of what domestic abuse is, how it presents, and how to signpost someone to specialist help.

Best for: All staff, regardless of role – a great starting point for an organisation-wide rollout.

3 or 6 hours | In person or online | Requires Phase One or equivalent

Building on Phase One, this session goes deeper into the dynamics of domestic abuse – including perpetrator tactics, key definitions, and how to respond in practice. It covers how to make a safe enquiry, and how to support someone through safety planning. Content can be tailored to the specific context of your organisation.

Best for: Staff who have some client or service user contact but are not in a dedicated support role – for example, receptionists, housing maintenance workers, or community-facing staff.

6 hours | In person or online | Requires Phase 2 or frontline experience working with clients living with domestic abuse
Designed for frontline practitioners, Phase 3 develops the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to respond effectively to domestic abuse. This phase focuses on recognising and managing risk, supporting safety, and making informed decisions to help ensure that both clients and colleagues are safer and better protected from abuse.
Best for: Frontline staff who work directly with clients or service users and may need to identify risk, provide support, or make safeguarding decisions.

3 hours | In person or online | Requires Phase Two or equivalent

A senior-level session focused on how organisations can build and sustain an effective response to domestic abuse – both for clients and for staff who may be experiencing it themselves. Covers vicarious trauma, organisational culture, and leadership responsibilities. We can also support you with writing or reviewing your domestic abuse policy and processes.

Best for: Managers, supervisors, and designated Domestic Abuse Advocates within your organisation.

The duration of Phase 5 is based on your organisation’s need  | In person or online | Requires Phase 4 or equivalent
Phase 5 focuses on embedding domestic abuse awareness and good practice across your organisation. Designed around your specific needs, this phase helps maintain knowledge, confidence, and safe responses over time through ongoing learning, refresher sessions, and tailored support.
Best for: Organisations that want to sustain learning, strengthen practice, and keep domestic abuse firmly on the organisational agenda.

Housing and Homelessness Organisations

For organisations working towards DAHA accreditation, one-off training is rarely enough. Achieving and sustaining good practice requires role-appropriate knowledge, confident frontline responses, strong leadership, and systems that embed learning across the organisation.

A note on our pricing

We’re a specialist domestic abuse charity, and every pound we raise goes directly towards supporting the adults and children who need us most. Because of this, we’re not able to offer our professional training to organisations free of charge – but we work hard to keep our pricing accessible, and we’ll always try to find an approach that works for your budget and your needs.

When your organisation invests in Oasis training, you’re not just building your team’s expertise, you’re also helping fund the frontline services that change and save lives in Kent and Medway.
