About Us

Our Strategy

Our vision

For every adult and child affected by domestic abuse to be safe, heard and free to live the life they choose.

Our mission

To break the cycle of abuse, permanently.

In Kent, Medway, and beyond, too many people live without the one thing that should be a given… safety at home.

Every day, adults, young people, and children face abuse at the hands of someone who is supposed to love and care for them. Domestic abuse is a devastating pattern of control, fear, and manipulation – physical, emotional, sexual, financial – inflicted by someone close: a partner, ex-partner, family member, or caregiver.

At its core, domestic abuse is about power, and typically involves a repeated cycle of abusive behaviour that escalates over time, and it strips people of their sense of self, leaving them feeling trapped and alone. It’s traumatic, and its effects don’t stay behind closed doors. They ripple through families, through childhoods, and through communities.

At Oasis, we believe every person deserves to live free from abuse, which is why we support individuals of all ages, backgrounds and genders by offering comprehensive domestic abuse support, advice, and guidance. We understand the intricate web of challenges survivors face, and we are committed to walking alongside them as they rebuild their lives, offering support, safety, and the space to recover and thrive.

We are also committed to getting better at what we do. We want the people who come to us at the hardest moments of their lives to receive the very best support we can offer – and we want to be here, reliably and sustainably, for everyone who needs us now and in the years ahead.

This is how we are doing it.
