Working here has genuinely changed my life for the better. It is an absolute privilege to spend my time supporting survivors, truly listening to their stories and empowering them to make meaningful differences in their own lives. I feel inspired each day, not only by the courage that survivors demonstrate in trusting us with their experiences, but also by the compassionate, dedicated teams around me that go above and beyond to care for others. I’m constantly learning new things about a cause so close to my heart.

Volunteer with us

Not ready for a paid role, or looking for a way to give your time rather than your career? We have volunteer opportunities too, from supporting our collection tin fundraising in your local community to helping out in our boutique charity shop in Margate.

Volunteering with Oasis is a brilliant way to learn new skills, and make a direct difference to survivors across Kent and Medway.

The support I received inspired me so much that I decided to leave my previous career to give back. That’s how I ended up working at Oasis. I wanted to help others understand that it’s not their fault and to provide them with the tools they need to stay safe and recognise what’s happening in their lives. At Oasis, we approach our work with empathy and a non-judgmental attitude. We deeply listen to our clients and ensure they feel heard, respected, and understood.

leading lights small

We are proud to hold SafeLives Leading Lights accreditation, the gold standard for domestic abuse services in the UK, recognising the quality of our work with survivors across Kent and Medway.

I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to work for Oasis. The culture here is cooperative, friendly and full of passion for the work that we do. It is really inspiring to work with people who have the same want to work towards a common goal and who share the same ethos. Although the nature of our work can be challenging at times, everyone supports each other and helps each other out, making the tougher days feel that little bit lighter.
