Oasis in Schools
Helping young people understand healthy relationships
Children and young people are growing up in a world where one in four women and one in six men will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. Many are already living with it at home and are starting to experience it among their peers, with cases of abuse growing faster in teenagers than any other age group.
Schools are uniquely placed to make a difference, not just by recognising the signs, but by helping young people build the knowledge, language, and confidence to understand what healthy relationships look and feel like.
When children learn what healthy love looks like, and that abuse is never their fault, they carry that knowledge into their friendships, their first relationships and, eventually, their own families.
When staff feel confident naming domestic abuse and knowing what to do, children are more likely to be believed, heard and protected when they speak up.
We work with primary and secondary schools across Kent and Medway, delivering age-appropriate assemblies, interactive workshops, and staff training – all developed by specialists and grounded in real experience.

“I want to say a huge thank you for today’s session. It was well planned, had a variety of tasks and was sensitive to students’ needs. It was so informative for all of our students who listened so intently to the information from this session. It provided so much new learning for them and they walked away knowing so much more about domestic abuse including the signs, impacts and how to get further support. I can not thank you enough as this would have made a difference to these young people’s lives now and in the future.”
