Our Impact

Our Awards

The recognition we’ve received over the years reflects the quality of our services, and the dedication, skill, and compassion of everyone at Oasis. Each award we’ve won or been a finalist for is a reminder of why this work matters, and a commitment to continuing to raise the bar for those who find their way to us across Kent and Medway.

Oasis won the LGBTQIA+ Friendly Charity Intersectionality Award. This belongs to every colleague at Oasis who supports people through some of the most difficult times in their lives, challenges barriers, and works every day to make our services more inclusive. And to the clients who trust us with their stories and allow us to be part of their journey.

Derrick KCA

Kent Charity Awards 2025

Finalist!

Derrick Downs was a finalist in the Volunteer Category for completing a 90 mile walk in 9 days in celebration of his 90th birthday. Walking through many iconic Kent locations, Derrick had initially hoped to raise £9,000, but with lots of local support along the way, and lots of media coverage, Derrick crossed the finish line in Margate with over £30,000 raised for Oasis!

Oasis KCA 2025

Kent Charity Awards 2025

Finalist!

Oasis was a finalist in the Care Charity category, recognising our move from a traditional shared refuge to 22 self-contained properties across Thanet and Medway. Funded by a £4.1 million social investment loan, this created 32 inclusive self-contained homes for individuals, families, men, trans people, and those with pets.

Make a difference awards 2025

Make a Difference Awards 2025

Finalist!

Our volunteer Jules was a finalist in BBC Radio Kent’s Make a Difference Awards, for giving her time, resources, solidarity and love in big ways to be there for survivors we support at Oasis, following the loss of her daughter to domestic abuse. “The reason I do this is because my daughter never got the chance to start a new life with her sons. She is on this journey with me.”
