BeYou is an inclusive, identity-affirming service provided on behalf of the NHS, for LGBTQIA+ children and young people (aged 8-18) across Kent and Medway, including those questioning, exploring, or discovering who they are.
We provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where young people can be themselves, build confidence, and access support for the things that matter most to them. Whether you’re looking to explore your identity, talk about relationships, navigate challenges at school or home, or simply have a space to be heard, BeYou is here for you.
One-to-One Support
Our one-to-one sessions offer a confidential and personalised space where young people can talk openly, explore their thoughts and feelings, build self-confidence, develop coping strategies, and work towards goals that are meaningful to them. Support is tailored to each individual and delivered at a pace that feels right for them.
Group sessions
Our group sessions bring together LGBTQIA+ young people and those exploring their identity in a supportive and friendly environment. Groups provide opportunities to connect with others, share experiences, participate in fun activities and feel less alone. They are relaxed, welcoming spaces where everyone is encouraged to participate in a way that feels comfortable for them.
Schools and Organisations
Alongside our direct support services, BeYou works with schools and organisations across Kent to promote inclusion, understanding, and wellbeing. We deliver assemblies, workshops, and training sessions on a range of topics, including:
- LGBTQIA+ awareness and inclusion
- Allyship
- Healthy relationships
- Creating inclusive environments
- Supporting LGBTQIA+ children and young people
