Kent Law Society partners with Oasis
Here are some of the ways you can get involved this year.

Domestic abuse and the law conference
On Thursday 24th September 2026 we will hold our second legal conference, in collaboration with the Kent Law Society.
Join us as we discuss how the physiological impacts of abuse can affect victims giving evidence; whether financial claims should consider domestic abuse; how Oasis supports victims; civil remedies you may not have thought of, and how Kent Police is tackling violence against women and girls. Speakers from across the sectors to be announced soon. Sign up to receive the event info as soon as it’s released.

Training opportunities
Throughout the year our Training team offers webinars on topics around abuse.
The team has provided specialist training to organisations including Social Services, the Police, NHS departments and housing associations, as well as law firms, the financial services industry and businesses. Join their informative events to learn more. Previous events have included economic abuse for the financial sector, bespoke learning for the legal sector, and how to support colleagues who are experiencing abuse. Sign up to receive news of all of our upcoming events.

Help support survivors by fundraising for Oasis
Why not join Team Oasis as we take on the Kent Downs 50km Ultra Challenge on Saturday 10th October 2026? Walk the beautiful route (or run if you’re particularly keen!), starting near Maidstone and passing Leeds Castle and Mote Park. Even better, encourage a team of colleagues to take on the challenge with you. You’ll receive an Oasis T-shirt and fundraising tips and support.

Donate your firm's residual funds to Oasis
Nominate Oasis as the charity to receive your residual funds. Donations like this allow us to reach more adults, children and young people, and support lifeline services like our helpline and youth work. Contact us to discuss a residual funds donation.

Join our team of pro bono advisors
We offer weekly advice sessions so that victims can receive early legal assistance. Our amazing team of pro bono lawyers attend either in person or remotely, giving a commitment of one morning a month. Currently we offer help with family law issues, but we would love to extend this to immigration, housing and criminal law too. Drop us an e-mail if you are interested in learning more.
