Our Ethical Fundraising Commitment

Oasis is committed to its charitable aims. We fundraise so that we can provide the services that deliver our mission to give appropriate support to families affected by domestic abuse.

We have registered voluntarily with the Fundraising Regulator and actively support its Fundraising Promise to be legal, open, honest and respectful.

Our Fundraising Policy holds us to high standards of ethics and social responsibility within our fundraising. All staff and volunteers (including the Board of Trustees) have a responsibility to be aware and have a thorough understanding of the ethical issues covered in this policy.

Oasis respects the rights of its supporters to clear, truthful information about our work, how donations and other income are spent, and how we manage donors’ information responsibly.

We do not solicit donations by ‘cold calling’ by telephone or door-to-door collections, and we do not share personal information provided to Oasis with any other organisation. We never pressure anyone to make a donation and take particular care to avoid asking vulnerable people for donations.

We will not solicit or accept donations from companies or individuals who participate in activities which could cause detriment to the charity’s reputation or work.
