Will you help families get away this summer?

Can you imagine feeling trapped and terrified in your own home — always on edge, dreading what might happen next.

When the school gates open again and the chance to seek help finally returns, we expect a surge in calls to our helpline – and many more women and children arriving at our refuge, scared and exhausted.

With your help, we can be ready.

I want to change lives of adults and children escaping domestic abuse this summer.

Claire's story

Claire and her young daughter Sarah endured years of abuse. When Claire was nine months pregnant, her husband hit her and threw her out of the car with nothing but the summer dress she was wearing. For years it continued, until Claire picked up the phone and called the Oasis helpline.

Today, with our support, Claire and Sarah are rebuilding their lives. Sarah is thriving at school, and Claire has launched her own dog-boarding business.

“We finally have peace. We finally feel free,” says Claire. “But we wouldn’t be here without Oasis.”

Thank you

The money raised from your virtual gift goes directly towards our support services for adults, children and young people affected by domestic abuse in East Kent, Medway and North Kent.

This includes one-to-one support, refuge, safe accommodation, group programmes and mentoring, as well as sustaining our helpline and one-stop-shop virtual and in-person drop-in centres.

Your gift literally goes towards saving lives, and we’re so grateful.

We need to raise £20,000 before September to provide vital support to the hundreds of women and children who will call our helpline or arrive at our refuge as the holidays come to an end.
