Sign up to trek 25km or 50km across Kent on Saturday 18th May 2024 while raising money for Oasis!

We are pleased to announce a new event for 2024 – pull on your walking boots and hike across the North Downs Way for charity!

We are really excited to be partnering with Kent Search & Rescue, who are organising the Kent Charity Trek and providing practical support throughout the day.

The route starts at the historic Chatham Dockyard and follows the scenic North Downs Way as it winds through the county. Entrants can choose to take on the 25km trek (finishing at White Horse Country Park) or the full 50km trek (finishing at Eastwell Manor & Spa, Ashford). You can see the route here.

The route provides spectacular views across Kent. With two route lengths, there is a challenge to suit all abilities. Support will be provided on the day with regular marshal points, as well as water, snack and first aid stations.

How to sign up

To sign up, simply register to participate and pay the entry fee of £50. Please note that due to the nature of the event, entrants must be 18 years or over.

Once you’ve registered, you can set up your fundraising page through our dedicated portal, and encourage your friends and family to sponsor you! 70% of the money you raise will go to Oasis, and 30% will go to Kent Search & Rescue, which is a charity that assists the emergency services in the search for and rescue of high risk vulnerable missing persons.

What will your support do?

Everything you raise for Oasis will go towards our vital work. One of the ways that we support those experiencing domestic abuse is through our helpline. Providing advice, guidance and a listening ear, the helpline is often the first port of call for those who need to come to our refuge.

After all this time it was a relief just to be listened to – to be believed. My advisor was amazing – she helped me out of a dark place.
